We are thrilled to report on the migration to an upgraded Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) and Common Use Self Service (CUSS) platform, marking a significant leap in our operational efficiency and passenger experience at Regina International Airport (YQR). Our collaboration with SITA, the Airport’s Management, and Staff in completing this transition has been a testament to the power of effective teamwork and planning.
Our journey with Regina International Airport, on this project, began with the goal of migrating from Materna to SITA and replacing 23 counters, 15 gate systems and 18 kiosks. From the initial planning stages to the final installation, our team worked to ensure a seamless transition. The agility showcased during the 2.5-day replacement of counters and gate systems, followed by an equally swift kiosk overhaul, reflects our dedication to streamlined operations.
The enthusiasm exhibited by our airline partners was truly gratifying. Their anticipation to harness the potential of the new platform speaks volumes about the anticipated benefits and enhancements. Equally rewarding is the discernible reduction in operational hurdles. What was once a weekly flood of 55-65 calls has been dramatically reduced to a mere 5-10 per week, underscoring the reliability and resilience of our enhanced system.
This successful rollout is about more than immediate improvements; it’s about preparing Regina International Airport for the future. The upgraded CUSE equipment provides a resilient and adaptable infrastructure, positioning YQR as a competitive and innovative airport ready to meet the evolving needs of airlines and passengers.
The YQR ServiceTec Support team is honoured to have been part of this successful journey, working alongside Regina International Airport and its airline partners to provide travellers with a better airport experience. This project is a shining example of what can be achieved when diverse parties come together to achieve a common goal. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in future projects and endeavours, as we work to advance the aviation industry and create an exceptional experience for all passengers at Regina International Airport.
