Server Migration: The team successfully completed the migration of the CUPPS VM servers from VMware to Hyper-V hosts. This was an important infrastructure update, helping to modernise the server environment and support the ongoing reliability of critical airport systems. The migration was completed successfully and represents another positive step in strengthening the technology foundations that support day-to-day airport operations.
Biometric Pod Project: An initial meeting was held with VAA, Embross, and Air Canada to discuss the deployment of Embross biometric pods. As part of the project, one biometric pod will be installed at each gate for use by Air Canada. This initiative will support the continued development of a more efficient and seamless passenger journey, while also helping the airport prepare for future improvements in biometric processing and gate technology.
The Victoria (YYJ) team dinner took place on 15th June 2026, bringing colleagues together for some valuable time away from the day-to-day airport environment. It was a great opportunity to recognise the team’s hard work, strengthen relationships, and enjoy time together outside the usual working setting.
