Sander Opdam – AMS Site Manager
On Thursday, June 8th 2022 we were able to successfully install the first IDEMIA Travel Kiosks for the European Entry/Exit System.
The EES, as it is abbreviated, is a system which registers the entry and exit of third nations outside of the European Union. It will be used by the border security all over Europe and ServiceTec has been chosen as a partner to maintain this system in The Netherlands, for the border police (KMar) on the offsite stations and for Schiphol Airport at our home base near Amsterdam.
The first of many kiosks were installed at a test facility of the Ministry of Defence and we will be installing many more scattered across the country over an area of 41.543 km². In the upcoming months we will be installing about 40 kiosks at offsite locations and 150 (or more) kiosks at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
